Typical Applications of Sodium Carbonate:
- pH correction of municipal and industrial waters
- Used by dairy, beef, and food processors
Sodium carbonate is a weaker base than sodium hydroxide and can be used to adjust the pH of pools, aquariums, and various process waters. It has a wide range of applications in water and wastewater treatment. Additionally, sodium carbonate doesn’t contain the minerals magnesium or calcium and therefore will not increase the hardness of treated water.
