As part of Science Week 2019, Acorn Water hosted a workshop on Water Quality and Treatment Processes. The event was attended by fifth and sixth year chemistry students from the local Hamilton High School. Laboratory Manager, Frank Mullins demonstrated analytical methods for water quality testing and some tests were a real world application of experiments included in the Leaving Certificate Chemistry curriculum.
MD Aidan Holland and former student of the Hamilton High said “We are particularly proud to have students from our own former High School visit for Science Week, a national celebration of science and STEM subjects. We wish to thank Chemistry teacher John O’Sullivan for his enthusiasm and helping to make this workshop happen.
