History

Founded in 1991 by Bill and Eileen Holland, Acorn Water was created to serve the water industry in Ireland. For 30 years, Bill developed his skills and knowledge as Environmental Manager of Carbery, a large Irish dairy producer. There, he managed both the water and wastewater treatment plants and introduced biogas digester technology to reduce dependence on fossil fuels. Our factory in Bandon was licensed and commissioned in the late 90’s to produce inorganic coagulants for all water and wastewater plants on the island. Today, with a capacity of 95kT/yr and accreditation to NSAI, we are a top-tier supplier to water utilities and industry. Acorn is a family owned company and continues to keep Quality, Talent and R&D as its core values.
